A new SENCo starts in September. You’ve been through three EHCPs, two tribunals, six annual reviews. You know your child’s needs by heart — and you explain it all from scratch. Every time. The card is how that stops.
WHATWhat it certifies
Proof of voice, not proof of disability.
Every other card in the UK shows a disability, unlocks a discount, or signals “please be patient.” None of them carries the one thing that changes a decision: the child’s own voice.
The child has been asked
It certifies the family has captured the child's own voice — in their words, not paraphrased on a form.
Their access needs travel with them
Documented in a portable format, so a family never explains everything from scratch to every new professional.
Their statutory rights are stated
The rights the child already holds under UK law, restated plainly on the back of the card.
The family is not alone
It shows any professional that this family belongs to an alliance that has their back.
What the card is not.
It is not a legal instrument — it restates rights that already exist, it does not create new ones. No professional is required to accept it; it is offered in partnership. And it is not a diagnosis: it certifies that a family has done the work to capture the voice, nothing more.
It will be free, digitally, for every FADA family. A physical card will be optional. No family is ever priced out of their own child’s voice.
