Who the card is for

The FADA Advocacy Card is for any family raising or supporting a disabled child or adult in the UK. Unlike the cards already out there, it doesn’t just prove a disability — it certifies that the child’s voice has been captured, and asserts the rights they already hold.

  • You're a parent, carer, or family member (free FADA membership confirms this).
  • There's a disabled child or adult whose voice the card will carry.
  • You'll capture a short statement of their voice — in their words.
  • Optionally, you can add evidence for a verified card (see the Verification step).
We looked hard at the Access Card, the National Disability Card, and the rest. They translate a diagnosis into symbols or discounts. Ours does the one thing none of them do: it carries the child’s own voice into the room. That’s what gives it weight.
